Overview
Glasswing is a desktop photo editor that aims to replace subscription tools with a single purchase. It covers everything from RAW development to layer-based retouching.
What we liked
RAW files from three different cameras looked great with the default profile, and the AI noise reduction cleaned up night shots without the waxy look some tools produce. Layers, masks and adjustment layers all work non-destructively.
What we didn't
The interface shows almost every tool at once. It took us a few evenings of tutorials before editing felt natural. On a five-year-old laptop, applying noise reduction to a 45-megapixel file took close to a minute.
Verdict
If you're comfortable learning new software and want to own your editor outright, Glasswing is good value. See current pricing and use the 30-day trial first.
